Press Release: For two days bread and the sweet and salty treats fresh from from the bakers’ ovens will take over the Buda Castle. At the Bread and Pastry Festival organized on 9-10 May 2015, held at one of the most beautiful spots of the capital, Savoy Terrace of the Buda Castle the country’s best bakeries offer their delicacies, their traditional and novel products.

Without bread daily meals are unimaginable, but even so our most important food is often „only” a sideman on the table.

The aim of the festival, called for life with an intention of creating a tradition, is for the metropolitan public to meet the rich traditions of the Hungarian bread making and the selected delicacies of the bakeries working at the different parts of the country.

You can taste raveling loaf, rye and potato wonders, with or without yeast.

Besides the different bread types popular pastries appear as well, like the favourite cocoa shell, tart and the many variants of salty cakes.

Open daily between 10 am - 8 p.m.
