Referendum Ahead On Budapest Normafa Project
A local referendum will be held in the 12th District on May 17 on a proposal to build tourist attractions in nature conservation areas in the hilly Normafa area. A forestry school, ski slopes, a ski lift, a playground, road renovations and public lighting are all included in the plan. According to the feasibility study, the project will cost Ft 6.9 billion.

No local referendum achieved quorum in the past 25 years but the district council will honour the result in any case, said mayor Zoltán Pokorni.

The Fidesz politician, who supports the proposal, predicted that local residents will approve it.
