Hungarian National Consultation On Migrants Can Be Filled Online
The national consultation on the issues of migrants and terrorism will be available online for Hungarian citizens to fill out, the government spokesman, Zoltán Kovács, said. The government is also launching an information campaign setting out the cabinet’s basic position on the matter, including its standpoint that arrivals to Hungary must respect the cultural values and laws of the country and the EU, and they must not put jobs for Hungarians under threat.

He said the online option at nemzetikonzultacio.kormany.hu was for people who found it difficult to give their responses on paper.

He added that last of the questionnaires would be posted to several regions of the country next week. So far the government has received 200,000 responses.

The spokesman for the leftist opposition Democratic Coalition insisted on Sunday that the national consultation was a failure based on the number of responses the Fidesz government had received so far.

Zsolt Gréczy told a press conference: “Even Fidesz’s devoted followers are ignoring this hate campaign.”
