'In Hungarian: Erika Náray', Festival Theatre Budapest, 28 August
Erika Náray played cello for eight years in Eger. In the renowned secondary school for literature and drama in Szentes, she was a classmate or schoolmate of Róbert Alföldi, Enikő Börcsök, Adrien Szekeres, Zséda, Krisztián Nyári and Zoltán Ternyák.

In Budapest, she graduated in drama from the class of Miklós Szinetár at the Academy of Theatre and Film Arts. Six years later, she gained her diploma as a singer from the jazz department of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music.

Music and acting would then become inseparable in Náray's career. In nine years performing with the Operetta Theatre, she collected a number of platinum and gold records with her performances in successful productions including Romeo and Juliet, Mozart! and Szép nyári nap.

Of the two CDs she has recorded so far under her own name, the first album in 2006 featured only cover versions, but the second, released five years later, was made up of her own songs. The album Női dolgok is special as it marked her debut both as a songwriter and lyricist.

This concert on the opening day of the New Orleans Swing 2015 festival counts as a milestone in Náray's career.

Together with her outstanding musical partners, it promises to be a truly unique and magical evening featuring songs that are global hits without exception - every one performed to international standard in Hungarian, as never heard before, with the star's own song lyrics.

Hence the concert's title: 'In Hungarian: Erika Náray.'
