Vegetarian Festival, Budapest, 29 - 31  August
The 19th Vegetarian Festival will be held between 29-30 August at Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Kőbányai Cultural Center (1101, Szent László tér 7-14). The two days event offers lectures of nutritionists, yoga and tai chi classes, relaxation technics, dance classes, macrobiotic and vegetarian food tasting, cooking classes, display of ecologically responsible and organic products for vegetarians and for omnivores as well.

This year the professional lectures among many others include the subject of raw diet, vegan life style, glutein-free nourishment. One of the aims of the event is to clarify misunderstandings about vegetarian diet and to promote healthy lifestyle. It gives an overall approach to vegetarianism from an ethical, philosophical, medical and ecological point of view.

During the two days visitors can get free consultations with naturopaths and healers, can participate in the vegetarian cooking competition.Among many colourful programs there will be a fashion show presenting clothes made of recycled materials and a unique performance: the DVD-premier of Loving the Silent Tears: A New Musical.

Admission is free.
