The Fidesz majority on Fifth District council voted on Thursday to sell 12 downtown properties at below market price to the present tenants. Three of the transactions are sales to OTP bank and another involves Pick Szeged, both companies owned by Sándor Csányi. A three-level unit on Deák tér for which Together councillor Péter Juhász made an offer above the council’s proposed sales price, will be appraised by an expert. Juhász walked out of the meeting, vowing to file a report for misuse of funds.
