EC Approves Audi Subsidy In Hungary
A €133.3 million state subsidy given by Hungary to the expansion of the Audi car factory in Gyõr was in line with EU regulations, the European Commission said on Monday after completing a detailed examination. The €1.2 billion project creating 2,100 jobs made a significant contribution to the development of a disadvantaged region, the Commission said.

This positive effect more than offsets the negative effect of potentially distorting competition, the study concluded.

The Commission started its investigation in July 2014.
