'When I woke up in the morning, I didn't know what part of the world I was in,' said Cayetano Soto, describing his general mental state while he was creating this piece. The choreographer regards his works as a kind of personal act of communication aimed at relating, through dance, the deepest reaches of his psyche.

'The anxiety and spatial disorientation caused by extensive business air travel combined with minimalist composer David Lang's intense music gave rise to the telegraphic style of the choreography,' he added.

Instinctive fear, unjustified revulsion, inexplicable anxiety: our everyday phobias. Stresses, barriers, sleepless nights: burdens we create for ourselves and which we must bear. But what happens if we are somehow liberated from something that had been one of our chief characteristics?

László Velekei's choreographies thus far have been primarily dramatic in tone, but now - breaking his own mould - he shows off his humorous, satirical side in this new creative work.
