Rétvári: HUF 900bn EU Funding For Social Policy Developments This Year
The government has approved a total of 900 billion forints (EUR 2.9bn) in European Union funding for social policy developments for this year, the human resources ministry’s state secretary said in the daily Magyar Idők.

Bence Rétvári said that within the total allocation approved in February, 43.4 billion forints were earmarked for family and youth affairs, 94.6 billion forints for health care and 16.2 billion forints for culture.

The highest allocation, 315 billion forints, is for education, he said, adding that applications for 192 billion forints will be accepted for social inclusion projects.

Special emphasis will be placed on improving the working conditions of people in health care, social services and education.
