Annual Feast Of Hungarian Jazz, 8 April
The Feast of Hungarian Jazz is one of the most prestigious jazz events in Hungary, organized by the Hungarian Jazz Federation, a national NGO dedicated to the genre. The event series traditionally takes place in the spring, and has been hosted for years by the Budapest Jazz Club, the heart of the Hungarian jazz scene. In 2016, the performers include, among others, the duo of Ágnes Lakatos and Barna Tibor Csuhaj, the Miklós Lukács Trio, and the duo of Myrtill Micheller and Tibor Pintér.

The bands and soloists invited to perform at the Feast of Hungarian Jazz are professionals with individual styles and musical concepts. The organizers make a point of including talented young performers in the programme, as well as artists of renown.

Over the years, the success of these concerts has proved that the local audience is interested in varied programmes that highlight a wide range of Hungarian performers, while visitors from abroad never fail to praise the talent of the Hungarian musicians and the quality of the productions.
