Board Extends Mandate Of Telenor Hungary CEO
Christopher Laska’s mandate as CEO of Telenor Hungary has been extended by the Telenor Group for an indefinite period, the company announced. Laska (pictured) has been leading Telenor Hungary since January 2011.

Under his leadership, the company extended its activities beyond traditional telecommunication services – launching several new digital services and building up its Hipernet mobile network with a download speed that is in the top league internationally, a statement from the company said.

Since October, Laska has also part of the Telenor Group’s Executive Management, reporting directly to Group CEO Sigve Brekke, with an impact on shaping the international company’s digital future, the statement said.

Laska joined Telenor in 1998 and has worked in various senior managerial positions within the company including stints in Hungary, Serbia, Pakistan and Montenegro. He holds a degree in management from the University of Bradford and a postgraduate degree in marketing.
