Steven Wilson Concert, RaM Colosseum, Budapest, 22 April
Steven Wilson, four-time Grammy nominee, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and one of the hardest working artists in music, has announced that he will continue his European tour in 2016 promoting his long-awaited fourth solo album ‘Hand. Cannot. Erase.’ which was released in March this year. The tour stops at RAM Colosseum Budapest on April 22, 2016 for the first Hungarian show!

The tour and album follow the critical and commercial success of his third solo album ‘The Raven That Refused To Sing’ released in 2013 and a run of sold-out shows around the world including London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Steven Wilson said: "We are currently performing a show that I hope will raise the bar both musically and visually from my previous tours, with a set list based around the new album (of course), as well as casting the net further back into my songwriting past for a few surprises.”

One of the most eclectic and prolific artists in rock music, Steven Wilson has been writing, recording, and producing music continuously since the age of 10. A native of Hemel Hempstead in England, Steven was first exposed to music at the age of eight, when he started hearing his father listening to Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon,” and his mother to Donna Summer’s “Love to Love You Baby,” two albums that were pivotal in the development of his musical direction. His father, an electrical engineer, built him a multi-track tape machine. Early demo tapes started to emerge in the mid 80’s while Steven was still at school, and at the end of the decade he already created the two projects which gained him entry to the professional music world.

Steven Wilson is most associated with the progressive rock genre. Currently a critically acclaimed successful solo artist, he is well known as the founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the band Porcupine Tree, as well as being a member of several other bands. He has also worked with artists such as Opeth, King Crimson, Pendulum, Jethro Tull, XTC, Yes, Marillion, Orphaned Land and Anathema.

More recently Steven has become known for his 5.1 surround sound mixing, starting with his own projects, but since 2009 also for the remixing of several classic albums, notably the revamping of the King Crimson catalogue, on which Steven worked closely with band leader Robert Fripp, Jethro Tull, and several others yet unannounced projects.

Due to the theatrical layout of the show, there are only seated tickets available, and in limited numbers.

Concert starts at 8 p.m.
