'Europe Day', Margaret Island, 8 May
This free of charge programme in the green center of Budapest runs throughout Sunday. Organisers promise that everyone from the youngest to the oldest is guaranteed to find something to their liking during this event which links 12 EU funded projects in Budapest.

The day features performances by Rúzsa Magdi, Mary Popkids and Ivan & the Parazol.

Many different children’s programmes are on offer, and kids can also join in with eco programmes, a jumping castle, a creative corner, and play in a language playhouse.

Children can also participate in the performance ‘Moonshine and Rainbow’ or listen to the concerts of Kovácsovics Fruzsina and Rutkai Bori.

A 12 kilometer run commemorating the 12th anniversary of Hungary's EU membership will also take place.
The race starts on Sunday at 10:00 AM at the entrance of Margitsziget on the Margaret Bridge side.
