Average Hungarian Spends 143 Euros On Health Annually
The average Hungarian household spent 4.9 percent of their income, or 44,771 forints (EUR 143) per person, on health services and drugs in 2014, the Central Statistical Office said in its annual report. The report, however, pointed to huge differences tied to income levels and said that while people in the richest 20 percent of society spent 170 percent of the average, the poorest spent a mere 32 percent of that sum.

The report also suggested a link between location and income levels, and said that while people living in Budapest spent 133 percent of the average for health, village dwellers spent 80 percent for the same purpose.
