Government Buys E-Cars
The government is committed to developing electric transportation, and aims to make Hungary the regional leader in this field, Economy Minister Mihály Varga declared in Budapest on Friday as the government formally received delivery of seven electronic cars purchased for its public procurement and supply directorate KEF.

The government bought Nissan Leaf models for Ft 8 million each and VW e-Golf models at Ft 10 million each.

A nationwide e-filling station network should be established to promote the spread of e-cars, Varga said, adding that income from the sale of carbon emission quotas could be used for this purpose.
