'Night Of The Museums', Ludwig Museum, 25 June
Night of Museums at exhibition space on all 3 floors of Ludwig Museum – Museum of Contemporary Art between 25 June 18.00 - 26 June 2 a.m.

Program:

6 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Bem aka Matild dj set on Ludwig Museum terrace
Colonel Bem is preparing for Museums’ Night with a genuine, museum/art-environment-taylored exotic vinyl mix. The word ’museum’ does not only reflect the actual age of the vinyl records, but also their value and their rarity. Nu jazz as well as its precursors and wildings are playing the main role tonight. – A sort of "easy to enjoy" music flavoured with spicy winking humour.

4 – 5 p.m.

Barbara Schoblocher & Gábor Jancsó acoustic concert in the exhibition Passion. Fan Behaviour and Art
Blahalouisiana, performing music inspired by the 1960’s, was founded a bit less than 4 years ago in Székesfehérvár. Their first LP came out this year and was presented with full house on Ship A38. The two song writers, Barbara Schoblocher and Gábor Jancsó graduated in jazz music composition and performance. The pair performs popular hits as well as their favourite songs from the 1960’s.

5 p.m.
SKUBI „guided tour” starting at HÉV terminus on Boráros tér, proceeding along the river bank to Ludwig Museum
Do Skubi and delight in other people’s memories with the Danube – at the riverside. Outcomes of four workshops conducted for children, adults and artists at Ludwig Museum, works visualizing participants’ most memorable experiences related to the river will be put on display with the help of Valyo designed peepholes, called Skubi.

These strange boxes stand apart from their environment, but when peeping into them, one can see a personal world of bathing, love or any other memories related to the Danube. For the last five years, Valyo has formed a close association with the Danube and Skubi will give a chance to local citizens to create their own river inspired art pieces displayed at the Danube side. The project is part of CAPP (Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme) and relates to Julius Popp’s Bit.Fall piece that will be built in Ludwig Museum.

6 - 11 p.m.
Breathing space
Come and relax: take a book, thumble it through or make a badge for the evening!

6 - 7 p.m.
Garage Band Festival Audience Award winning band, The Bluebay Foxes performs in the exhibition Passion. Fan Behaviour and Art

Garage Band Festival organised jointly by Müpa Budapest and Ludwig Museum, invited young pop-rock music bands to participate in a contest. Winners (6 bands), selected by an expert jury, were given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the public. The band which finally won the audience award, is performing tonight in the 2nd floor exhibition rooms.

Dramatic visual experience. Artwork based psychodrama workshop
Psychological workshops in a contemporary art environment, casting a new light on artworks and self-investigation, with case instances.

Guided tour with Papó (from Tilos Rádió), followed by a collective music making with visitors on sounding statues under the guidance of Zsolt Sőrés experimentale composer.
These playable and sounding artworks were created by visually impaired as well as unimpaired pupils and student for the competition Sound/Statue/Sound announced as a special programme related to the temporary exhibition Rock/Space/Time.

11 p.m. - midnight
The Queer Miracle Goes to LuMu – A rendezvous between contemporary art, literature and performance
This is a programme jointly organised with Budapest Pride.

Texts inspired by artworks on display in the exhibition Passion. Fan Behaviour and Art and written by contemporary Hungarian writers and slammers are being performed by their authors or by professional actresses in front of the respecitve work in the exhibition space. This experimental performance intends to shed a new light on the selected artworks, also to place them into a wider frame of interpretation.
