Hungary Population Decline Slows In Jan - May
Hungary’s population decline slowed in January-May to 27% compared with the same period last year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported. The figures show that there were 36,100 births in the first five months of the year. According to leap day-adjusted data, the number of births for the period was down by 2.4% compared with 2015.

The number of deaths was 53,054, down by 6,967, or 12%, according to leap day-adjusted data, KSH said.

The number of marriages went up by an annual 22% to 16,292.
