St Germain, Incognito, Earth, Wind & Fire @ Paloznak Jazz Picnic, 1 - 6 August
This weekend the village of Paloznak will be the capital of jazz at Lake Balaton for three days, as the Paloznak Jazz Picnic returns with a star-studded program. In the past 5 years the event grew to be a summer celebration attracting thousands of guests with its Balaton Uplands vibe, jazz concerts worth watching while lounging in the grass, quality local wines and top notch international and Hungarian artists.

2016 is a jubilee year for the Paloznak Jazz Picnic. We will begin the 5th anniversary event with a special Day 0: the house and nu jazz formation of the French artist, Ludovic Navarre, the internationally acclaimed St Germain will play a full show on the main stage. Tickets for Day 0 are also available separately of the passes.

The weekend line-up also includes Incognito, the British acid jazz formation, as well as Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat. Al McKay, and the Váczi Eszter Quartet, who already made the Picnic's audience dance once.

Also playing are "sunset concert experts" Bin-Jip - a project by Veronika Harcsa, Bálint Gyémánt and Andrew J -, Boggie, Pankastic!, Marge, Belau, the Kéknyúl Hammond Band, the Szőke Nikoletta Quartet, the Juhász Gábor Trio, and András Jász and Friends. The stage by Sáfránkert Restaurant will be taken over by young talents performing solo or in duo.

The festival organized by a local winery, Homola Pincészet is one of the most charming summer events - last year, it attracted more than 6000 guests.

The event promises a unique, premium selection of music, performers and culinary experiences. During the festival, a dedicated bus service will help guests travel between Paloznak and their accommodation in nearby settlements, like Balatonfüred, Csopak, Balatonalmádi and Alssóörs.

The picnic vibes will be complete with picnic baskets, cooled wines, local farmers' delicacies (such as: artisanal cheeses and hams, ice cream and pálinka variations), and picnic blankets.

The festival stands for quality also in terms of gastronomy: the most popular restaurants of Lake Balaton's north shore will be catering. The perfect concert experience will be guaranteed by excellent lighting and sound systems.

The festival is hosted by Homola Pincészet, and co-organized by the Local Government of Paloznak. Jazz Picnic is part of the "MOL nagyon Balaton" program series, and is held in cooperation with Veszprémfest.
