180 Charity Runners From Britannica International School At The Budapest Marathon Festival
On Saturday, 8 October students and parents from Britannica International School participated in the 2,7k running event organized for schools at the annual Budapest Marathon Festival.

This was the 4th time the school was represented at this popular sports activity.

This year more than 180 athletes took part and run the 2,7k course in the City Park - with this amazing number of runners Britannica was awarded with the prize as being the 6th school entering the largest numbers in Budapest (primary and secondary) and unofficially the 1st school with the largest entries among international schools.

Apart from the physical exercise Britannica families were also running for a good cause and raised over 200.000,-Ft for the charity organisation ‘Seedling Trust’.

As one of the Britannica parents noted:  "The students had a fantastic day. This is a great way of promoting the model of charity running but also a perfect form of physical fitness for children of all abilities - and lots of fun of course.  We can't wait to do it again next year!"
