New Railway Link To Airport Promised
The cabinet has decided to build a rail link between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Nyugati train station, Prime Minister’s Office leader János Lázár announced on Thursday.

He said the cabinet has opted for construction of 29 kilometres of new track on the Budapest-Cegléd-Szolnok line.

The project will cost an estimated Ft 100 billion, Lázár said.

Trains running every 20 minutes will cover the distance between the downtown area and the airport in 18-20 minutes.
