Magyar Opinion: Hungary Mourns Bus Crash Victims
An independent conservative pundit praises the unanimous expressions of compassion to the families of the victims of the Saturday bus accident in Northern Italy.

On Friday night, a bus carrying Hungarian high school students and teachers crashed and burned out in Northern Italy. 16 are reported dead, two individuals are in critical condition after the tragic accident. PM Orbán declared Monday a national day of mourning.

Hungary mourns the victims of the horrible accident in exemplary unity, Szabolcs Szerető writes in Magyar Nemzet.

The conservative columnist appreciates the attitude of the government and acknowledges that the authorities have done all they could to help the families of the victims and Hungarians expressed their sympathies in spontaneous ways through social media and other ways.

Szerető interprets that wave of unity in grief as signalling that Hungary can act as a community, at least in times of such catastrophes.
