Smog Alerts Reduced In Hungary, Check The Weather Forecast For Monday
Smog alerts have been maintained in seven localities, mostly in north-eastern Hungary and two areas of Budapest where air quality may endanger health, authorities said on Sunday. A red alert is still in place in Kazincbarcika, Putnok, Sajószentpéter and Salgótarján.

Here, concentrations of particulate matter (PM10) in the air exceeds what is considered to be safe. As air quality has somewhat improved, a lower, orange alert has been declared in Hernádszurdok, Miskolc and Nyíregyháza, the National Centre for Public Health said.

Although air quality has improved in several parts of Budapest, the Csepel-Királyerdő area in the south and at the Széna Square in the centre are still covered by an orange alert, the mayor’s office said.

Weather forecast for Monday

Mainly overcast and foggy with some patches of sunshine in eastern and north-western areas.

Southerly, south-easterly winds gusty in the southern Great Plain and in north-western parts.
