Orbán Confers With FINA Chief
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Cornel Marculescu, head of the International Swimming Federation, (FINA) in Parliament on Tuesday.

Marculescu said everything is set for this summer’s World Aquatics Championships in Hungary to be one of the best of all time, according to Orbán’s press chief Bertalan Havasi.

Also present was FINA vice-president Tamás Gyárfás, who recently resigned as head of the Hungarian swimming federation.

Government commissioner for Budapest investment projects Balázs Fürjes announced that the central venue of the competition, the new Duna Aréna, has been completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

The facility on the site of the former Dagály baths in Budapest’s 13th District was built by construction company Market Építõ for a net Ft 43.4 billion.

Mayor István Tarlós and Fürjes presented a symbolic key to the Duna Aréna to three-time Olympic champion Katinka Hosszú.

The tournament will be held in Budapest during July 14-30.
