Jobbik Urges Stringent Screening Of Government Members
The radical nationalist Jobbik party has proposed the introduction of a “stricter than ever” national security screening of government members. Jobbik leader Gábor Vona said that the “type D” probe would also involve a psychiatric test for government members, as well as a screening of their own assets and properties of their family members.

Once Jobbik submits a relevant bill and parliament passes it into law, members of the government would not be “subject to blackmail from any direction,” Vona insisted. Ruling Fidesz responded that they see the proposal as another “desperate attempt” by Vona “to cover up” the fact that he has completely “destroyed” his Jobbik party.

“Now Jobbik supporters can see that Vona is ready to do anything to gain power and money, the party leader has sold Jobbik’s soul and he has turned his back on their voters,” Fidesz said in a statement.

The document said that Vona “has turned Jobbik into a promigration party which now serves the interests of George Soros together with the Socialists and [the DK party led by Ferenc] Gyurcsány”.
