The main reason for the closures is a change in the behaviour of clients, the bank underlined.

Erste will close units on Baross tér, Béke tér, Deák tér, Heltai Jenõ tér and Rákóczi tér in Budapest, Hatvan utca in Debrecen, and Városház tér in Miskolc, as well as its only branch in Hatvan.

Erste said it is renewing the structure of its branches. The first of a new type of bank branch will be opened in the autumn.
