In an open letter Hosszú said she feels that by changing the schedule of short course swimming world cups and limiting the number of events the best swimmers are restricted.

Hosszú wrote that Fina is only guided by business interests and not the future of the sport.

FINA recently changed the regulation that one competitor may race in only four individual events.
