With support by 43 percent of decided voters, the ruling alliance would win a comfortable absolute majority in Hungary’s next parliament.

In addition to Jobbik, three left-wing parties — the Socialists, the Democratic Coalition (DK) and the Momentum Movement — would clear the 5 percent threshold of parliamentary representation.

The governing parties were backed by 30 percent of the whole electorate. Support for Jobbik stood at 11 percent, and for the Socialists at 7 percent.

Of the smaller parties, the leftist DK was backed by 4 percent, the green LMP party and Momentum by 2 percent each, the satirical Kétfarkú Kutya (Two-tailed Dog), Egyutt and the Liberals by 1 percent each while the Dialogue party registered less than 1 percent.

Taking core party support into account, the ruling parties were backed by 43 percent of respondents, Jobbik by 23 percent, and the Socialists by 13 percent.

DK stood at 6 percent, Momentum at 5 percent, LMP at 4 percent, Kétfarku Kutya and Együtt at 2 percent each, and the Liberals at 1 percent. The poll was conducted from July 4 to 23 on a sample of 2,000.
