Sales Of Tobacco Products Set To Rise To Record High This Year

Retail sales of tobacco products came close to 280 billion forints (EUR 0.9bn) in the first half of 2017 and are set to rise to a record high in 2017, business daily Világgazdaság said, citing data from National Tobacco Trade (ND) Nonprofit.
Sales exceeded 56.5 billion forints in June alone and reached 160 billion forints in the second quarter.
Retail turnover of tobacco products came to 586 billion forints last year, a record high, after 561 billion forints in 2015 and 535 billion forints in 2014, the paper said.
