Two More World Records Broken At World Aquatics Championships
Adam Peaty of Great Britain broke the 26.10 second old world record with 25.95 seconds to win the 50m men’s breaststroke semi-final event at the world aquatics championships in Budapest Tuesday evening.

Kylie Masse of Canada broke her compatriot Gemma Spofforth’s 2009 world record of 58.12 seconds to win the women’s 100m backstroke event clocking 58.10 seconds Tuesday evening.

China’s Sun Jang won the men’s 200m freestyle event on Tuesday afternoon ahead of Townley Haas of the United States and Alexandr Krasnik of Russia. Hungary’s Dominik Kozma came in sixth.

Katie Ledecky of the United States won the 1,500m women’s freestyle event, winning her third gold medal. Mircia Belmonte of Spain came in second and Simona Qaudarella of Italy third.

Bogi Kapás of Hungary placed fourth and Ajna Késely also of Hungary placed eighth.

Katinka Hosszú advanced to the final from the semi-final in the 200m women’s freestyle event Tuesday evening.
