'Budapest Happiness Week', 10 – 16 September
The 4th annual Budapest's Happiness Week is organised by Hungry 4 Learning Kft, a group of practitioners who work in the science of well-being. This group provides free workshops to inform residents in the latest science and developments within the field of well-being as founded by world famous Hungarian Professor Mihály Csíkszentmihályi.

It’s motto is holistic well-being is the key to real happiness! The participants can select from 30 programmes during the event which lasts for 7 days. They can enjoy the programme fully free of charge. Its programme is featured by such exciting and diverse topics like work-life balance, martial arts, womanhood, inner peace, sexuality, well-being, creativity, culture and meditation.

The founder of the week Paul Pahil says greater inclusion is needed before happiness becomes a reality for the majority of Hungarians. This social initiative was created because well-being is very low in Hungary and the 2017’s Happy Planet Index confirms that Hungary is placed much below its neighbouring countries.

The 'Happiness Week' is based on the following 5 principles of good well-being behaviours: Being active, being social, learning something new, caring for your body and pursuing meaning and purpose in life.

All the diverse events can be accessed on a booking website namely here
