Felcsút Mayor Mészáros Acquires New Radio Station
Felcsút mayor Lõrinc Mészáros has acquired Gong Rádió, the most popular local radio station in Kecskemét, news website 24 learnt on Wednesday. He purchased Gong Rádió via Talentis Group, a holding registered in Herceghalom, Pest county.

Mészáros has a 50% stake in Talentis and his wife Beatrix Csilla Kelemen owns the other half.

Gong Rádió realised a Ft 42 million after-tax profit on Ft 181 million in revenues last year.

Gong has a 51.4% audience share among listeners aged 18-59. The station also broadcasts to Nagykõrös, Csongrád, Gyömrõ, Kecel, Solt and Baja.

Government-friendly businessmen will accelerate the acquisition of independent local radio stations before the general elections, 24 adds. Mészáros, Csaba Belénessy, Andy Vajna and his lawyers will be taking the lead, it said.
