Historic Metro Line Might Be Expanded
The Budapest transport centre BKK has called a tender for a feasibility study to upgrade and expand the historic metro line M1, news website Zoom learned.

The line is planned to be expanded by an additional stop in both directions, which would be Vigadó tér to the west and Kassai tér to the east. A new stop is also planned to be built at Hungária körút to establish a connection to tram line No. 1.

New exits are planned at Oktogon, Heroes square and Deák tér.
