Heat Dries Up Tap Water Near Budapest
Household water pressure was low and in some places the water supply was temporarily unavailable in Solymár and the higher altitude areas of Szentendre on August 8, local water supplier Dunamenti Regionális Vízmű (DRV) confirmed.

The water level in the Danube has been too low for too long, restricting water distribution, the waterworks added.

The company sent water distributing tank trucks to the affected areas.

The DRV ordered water usage limitations in Szentendre and Solymár, asking residents not to wash cars, water garden plants or fill up pools.
