Hungarian Universities Part Of AI Consortium Win EU Tender
Budapest’s University of Technology and Economics (BME) and Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) are a part of the AI4EU consortium which has won a 20 million euro European Union tender to work on projects related to artificial intelligence.

The consortium will create a platform for facilitating the transfer of technology from research to implementation in areas such as transport, health care and the processing industry, BME said in a statement on Thursday.

It also aims to help the growth of startups and SMEs using AI, regardless of the sector they operate in. The universities will participate in the research work and BME will organise the marketing of the project in Hungary.

French transportation services giant Thales Services SAS leads the 80-member consortium. Well-known industrial members include Phillips, Orange, Allianz and SAP, the statement said.
