IB Diploma Programme Students At BISB Enjoy Excellent Results For The 2017/18 Academic Year
Students of the British International School Budapest have once again achieved strong results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. BISB’s initial average score this year is 2½ points higher than the IB global average, maintaining the gap between ourselves and other IB schools around the world.

Richard Dyer, Principal of The British International School Budapest, said:

“Over the past 6 years, our graduating class has grown from just 12 students to today’s figure of 58 students.

We continue to serve students from a wide range of backgrounds, each one with their own distinct ambition. Our academically strong students score consistently highly in the Diploma Programme and go on to study at top universities around the world.

Our Class of 2018 have already secured places at universities such as Imperial College, London, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Exeter, King's College, London and Loughborough.

Their average Diploma score of 32.4 is underpinned by many individual success stories, and I would like to congratulate our students and thank their teachers for their continued dedication.”

Andy Puttock, Education Director of Nord Anglia Education, said, “I am delighted by the outstanding IB diploma results achieved by our students this year.

This excellent outcome is not only due to their efforts but also the incredible hard work put in by the school’s teachers throughout the year to ensure our children experience the best in learning.”

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, commonly referred to as the IBDP, is a two-year education programme for students aged 16-19.

The programme is a widely accepted and recognised qualification for entry into higher education and universities worldwide. To learn more about the International Baccalaureate you can visit their website here.
