Socialist MEP Demands Details Of Hungarian Government Vaccination Strategy
Socialist MEP István Ujhelyi questioned the effectiveness of the government’s coronavirus vaccination registration scheme.

Residents lack information about which vaccine will be available to them and how to get hold of it, Ujhelyi said on Facebook, adding that he had contacted the human resources ministry for information but to no avail.

“We’re at the peak of the epidemic, but it is not known to what extent people and health service providers have been prepared for the vaccinations,” he said.

“Billions in public funds are being spent on lies, anti-EU campaigns or on mostly false, silly government propaganda rather than on informing the people,” Ujhelyi insisted.

Ujhelyi warned that a large part of the population was against being vaccinated because “all they have heard is that the government is importing a vaccine of uncertain origin, not registered in the EU”.

The MEP called on the government to provide information on the timing of vaccinations and which groups they would target, as well as the total cost of purchasing the vaccines.
