Doctor Arrested by Police in Hungary for Taking Bribes Worth Over HUF 37 Million
A doctor at the Hetényi Géza hospital in Szolnok has been fired for accepting gratitude money in excess of Ft 37 million.

The doctor was caught in the act while receiving patients on Monday and proceedings were launched against him on Tuesday.

According to the indictment, the doctor took gratitude money from his patients between May 31 and June 20.

Detectives also impounded Ft 10 million worth of foreign currency, mobile phones, jewellery, blank envelopes and cash-filled envelopes in his home.

The doctor was taken into custody by police.
