Buda Castle Palace To Become A Museum, Restoration To Be 'Architecturally Faithful'
The Palace of Buda Castle is to be transformed into a museum, Museum of Fine Arts director László Baán said in an interview with HVG.

The National Gallery, also run by Baán, currently occupies part of the 19th-century building.

Baán emphasised that the use of contemporary technologies, along with access to original plans and documents, will facilitate the restoration of the Palace to its pre-war state in an architecturally faithful manner.

There are no plans to use the palace for government operations, he confirmed.

This information is significant as, until now, speculation surrounded the fate of the Palace, HVG writes.
