June Date Set for Budapest Pride Parade - "Hungary's Largest Human Rights Demo"
Organisers of the annual Pride Parade here described the event as Hungary's largest human rights demonstration on Wednesday, as they announced the date for this year's rally as June 22.

"This parade aims to bring together everyone who values living in a free, tolerant, and democratic country they declared in the announcement on Facebook.

The chosen theme for this years march is "Take back your future", which emphasises systemic issues prevailing in society, such as racism, the housing crisis, ecological challenges, the crisis of faith in democracy, homophobia, transphobia, and sexism, the organisers said.

Organisers say that 35,000 people are expected to join the march through the streets of Budapest, for a third consecutive year.
