This remarkable Cognac, perfected over ten generations, is rich and full-bodied, never failing to impress, and stands as a testament to an extraordinary legacy of Cognac-making excellence.

Revolutionizing Gin

In 1996, Alexandre Gabriel introduced Citadelle Gin, the Gin de France, leading the charge in the French gin movement. Stringent regulations set by Cognac's Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) once required Alexandre to cease using his cognac stills for seven months annually.

However, after five years of negotiations, he gained AOC authorization to distill gin during this dormant period, breathing new life into traditional copper pot stills. Citadelle Gin, ideal for a crisp G&T or classic gin cocktail, is a testament to Alexandre's never-ending experimentation, as seen in his latest creation infused with rhubarb and raspberries.

The Art of Double Ageing: Unveiling Alexandre's Plantation Rum Journey

In 1999, Alexandre introduced Plantation Rum, reflecting his passion for traditional rum-making techniques. This included a signature double ageing process, lending these spirits a distinct character. Initially aged in Bourbon casks in the tropics, Plantation Rum is then transported to Château de Bonbonnet in France. Here, a second maturation in Ferrand French oak casks imbues the rum with delicate tannic notes.
