19:00 Tuesday 30th May 2017

Location: Juranyi Inkubatorhaz, 1027 Budapest, Juranyi utca 1.

'Joan'
Written by Donna Kaz
Directed by Sloan Thompson

The story of the young peasant girl who led an army to help crown a king and was burned at the stake for her efforts, the play incorporates Joan of Arc’s own words from letters, chronicles and testimony at her trial to create the living story of a fearless teen who was bound by her oath to God. Movement, voice and sound come together in a series of fast-paced short scenes that flow like a live-action montage and switch genres and settings in a flash. The result is a dynamic and exhilarating play based on historical fact.

Tickets: 1800 HUF

Bhutan: A Secret Kingdom of Himalayas
MIGHELP association will have the pleasure to welcome Mr. Zoltán Valcsicsák, president of Hungary-Bhutan Friendship Society at the House of Cultures (Magyar utca 44., 1053 Budapest) on Sunday, May 7th at 5 p.m.

Bhutan is a Buddhist constitutional monarchy in the Himalayas where a young king in the 1970s declared to follow Gross National Happiness (GNH) as his enlightened leadership policy. Since then, modernity and globalization have benefited Bhutan in many ways, but also created unprecedented changes in the tiny country challenging traditional values and society. Zoltán will take the audience on a fascinating journey in time and space discovering the remote country's hidden faces through personal stories and beautiful pictures and videos.
