The course is designed for foreign people living in Hungary and who are interested in wines, especially Hungarian wines, and who would like to know how to taste wine in a systematic way, how to choose wine in restaurants, and how to pair wines with foods.
Central European Wine Institute (CEWI) is a Budapest based school dedicated to providing world class wine and food education to amateurs and professionals alike. The curriculum is based on the highly regarded Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) system, which has been the gold standard globally in wine education since 1969.
Specialized Wine tasting 2 hours
Get to know a particular wine region, grape variety or slope through wine tasting with an Instructor. Options are also available for companies wishing to introduce Hungarys wines to visitor business partners.
Approximately 5 wines will be tasted. Tastings begin at 19:00 hours at CEWI, or arrangements can be made to hold tastings elsewhere.
Minimum 10 people per session. Discounted rate: 5.000 HUF + VAT
Discovering Hungarian Wines 4 hours
introduction to Hungarian wines and a guide on how to navigate the countrys wine lists.
Including and introduction to Hungarys most popular wine regions, Tokay, Eger, and Villany
Approximately 8 wines will be tasted. Tastings are arranged for a minimum of 10 people per session at CEWI, or can be held elsewhere.
Discounted rate: 10.000 HUF + VAT
Wines of Hungary in Depth 8 hours
A comprehensive look at Hungarys wineries and main wine regions. This course is recommended for both foreigners living in Hungary and Hungarians who would like to use their knowledge of English while learning about wines.
Approximately 10 wines will be tasted.
Tastings are arranged for a minimum of 10 people per session at CEWI.
