Wittner Aims To Axe “Hangmen’s” Pensions In Hungary
"The Fidesz caucus will put the revoking of preferential pensions to communist-era leaders on its agenda on Monday, MP Mária Wittner told reporters Thursday. Wittner, who was once sentenced to death for her part in the 1956 Uprising, said she will put forward a proposal to stop pensions to the “hangmen” who collect higher sums than their victims, and those who “lived off the previous regime, including workers militiamen and party secretaries. more »
