"In line with preliminary data, Hungarian GDP grew by 1.4 percent in Q4 2011 compared to the corresponding period of the year before – the Hungarian Statistical Office has reported today. The detailed report also suggests that economic growth in Hungary has been significantly higher than the EU average and thus the country has continued closing the gap with the rest of Europe. "A 39-year-old Austrian man was beaten to death in the Macho disco in Balatonfüred, on the north shore of Lake Balaton Saturday night. The victim was Stefan Grosseberger, a local resident. Police said a 36-year-old suspect from Balatonfüred was taken into custody and criminal proceedings have been launched against him." more »
