Xpat Wine Club, BorTár, 27 September The evening’s hostess, Dr. Varga Katalin, Managing Director of Settlers Hungary, is co-owner of the shop and dabbles in wine only as a hobby. She feels that in order to know a country, one must eat, drink, and live as the locals do.

“I want the eXpat community to get to know Hungarian wine, because I believe Hungarian wine is among the best in the world,” she said. The Xpats who mixed and mingled at the event made a fine effort to do just that, enthusiastically tasting and discussing the selections.

'The Big Shot', Budapest, June-September 2006 "Enjoy these production stills and screen captures from the forthcoming Comedy Pilot 'The BIg Shot'.

It's the European film scene as you've never seen it portrayed before - with characters like 'Sasha Tane', a hedonistic showbiz reporter who is like a cross between Austin Powers & Hunter S. Thompson; 'Detlef Künstler' an expressionist film legend and 'Donald Twain', a fruity thespian with multiple personalities, including a tortured Method Actor".

Mokka Cuka Closing Party, 23 September "On the biggest island of Budapest, the Hajógyári sziget is Mokka Cuka. An open air club in the middle of nowhere. Thats what it looks like but in fact you are in between Buda and Pest on an island.

Surrounded by trees, flowers and bushes you can find a half open tent which is part of the dancefloor. The bar is endless long but always crowded. Many people come to just sit outside others come to party all night long.

The best way to go to Mokka Cuka is the Hev to Szentendre or by Taxi."
Guest at this party were: Freeland, Tayo and Pete Jordan from England.

Season Opening Party, Dokk Club, 22 September "A stonkingly good evening - non threatening, great service, top DJ, great tunes, very friendly and a definite 'must go again'. Lots of beautiful people but lacking in pretence!" by: Peanut. "If you want to party until dawn with a decent crowd you can't go far wrong." by: josh600.

"Cutting-edge nightclub packed with the young, rich and beautiful. Set on Shipyard Island on the Buda side of the city, it’s a former ship-building factory reclaimed and converted by a local bon-vivant who thought it might make an ideal space for long nights of dance-fuelled hedonism."
