Xpat Wine Club members enjoyed this special free opportunity to pre-taste wines yet to be launched on the Hungarian market. These latest additions to the Izabella Zwack Wine Selection all went down well, as did a shot or two of super premium palinka from Sandor Zwack - winner at the recent Destillata International Competition.

"The Gumball 3000 Rally 8 day tour around the world made it's way through Budapest on Monday May 1st. 108 cars ranging from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes and anything else you can imagine parked in Roosevelt tér while drivers rested for the night at the Four Seasons hotel.

The event started with a presentation of Tokaj's wines from 2002 - widely regarded to be an excellent year - from by the 21 members of the Tokaj Renaissance group.
The venue proved to be a great place for people to meet, discuss the wines and network. Later in the afternoon wine makers presented their 2005 vintage to guests. Wonderful imported cheese and freshly baked walnut rye bread was also offered by Gundel. Overall verdit: Fantastic.

Dream cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lotus, Maserati were on show, along with new models from: Pagani, Koenigsegg, Gumpert, Spyker, Wiesmann. Tickets for the VIP day sold for 15 000 Ft, especially for you below are some of the fast cars, and fast women, on show at the 2006 Luxury Car Event in Budapest. "An eventful night. Very comfortable yet professional. The line up was great. A strong performance from David Hill of course, and Zephariah was amazing - the guy just pumped energy, inspiration for all in the room. There were about 70 attendees altogether, mostly those from the literary circles and some artists. Bruce Lewis did a nice job as a closing act, uplifting stuff."
