Xpatloop Wine Club, Andrássy Hotel, 27 October 2005

Over 40 Xpats enjoyed the charming company of Izaballa Zwack while tasting a fine selection of wines from various notable regions in Hungary.

First class and friendly hospitality from the Zebrano Restaurant team provided the perfect setting for this first wine club event. Naturally Izaballa provided many interesting insights as she helped to pour from the following bottles:

1. Nyakas - Don Olivér (Irsai Olivér & Chardonnay cuveé) 2004, 2. Szeremley Huba - Szirén (Szemelt Rizling & Szürkebarát cuveé) 2004, 3. Danubiana - Merlot Rose 2004, 4. Weninger - Terra Nemo (Kékfrankos), 5. Malatinszky - Cabarnet Sauvignon 2001, 6. Dobogó - Mylitta (late harvest Furmint) 2003.

HUF 42,000, exactly half of the proceeds from this event, were donated to the "Healthy Newborn Children and Mothers Foundation", Budai Honvéd Hospital. Another charity will benefit from the next XpatLoop Wine Club event on 9 December 2005.
