Budapest’s biggest and most scenic Wine Festival is held in the grounds of Buda Castle where you can drink in the view and lament about the history. It’s a great location to discover and enjoy Hungary’s different wine regions that produces it’s reds, whites and rosés... you are spoilt for choice I’d say.
What you get is a sumptuous mixture of fabulous wines, matched with gourmet specialities, for a truly authentic Hungarian flavour. The event is not just wine and food there’s performances by local artists as well as exciting events and not to mention a breath-taking panorama of Pest.
This takes place in September with the weather still at a warm Mediterranean feel, which is fitting for one of the most prestigious festivals in Hungary. Annually visited by tens of thousands of people, all with the same thing in mind, exploring the wine of Hungary and taking in the culture of the country.
