Sió Miss Balaton Final, Siófok, 4 August

The Miss Balaton beauty contest was held for the 8th time on August 4th, this year at the Hotel Azúr in Siófok.
Last year’s winner Adrienn Gombosi was on hand to help with proceedings, crowning Linda Zimány as the 2006 beauty queen, ahead of Anett Maximovics.
The participating ladies, ranging from students to translators and lawyers, came from all over Hungary, and had an average age of 20. Most of the girls interested in hobbies such as aerobics, horse riding, dancing, snowboarding, with some spending their spare time "writing poetry, collecting butterflies and designing clothes".
