HM The Queen was born in London on April 21, 1926, and was christened Elizabeth Alexandra Mary. She was the first child of The Duke and Duchess of York, who later became King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. HM QE II has now reigned for 52 years and is the world’s second longest reigning Monarch.
